FOR KETO & LOW-CARB ATHLETES

Find your fueling balance.

We’re building a place to connect your training, nutrition, and personal feedback—with a community that cares about what goes into their bodies.

Starting with runners in Austin. Built to learn together.

FUEL THEORY LABS / CONCEPT

A little more in tune.

SATURDAY · EASY RUN

45 min / conversational pace

FOOD NOTES

Eggs, avocado & a homemade electrolyte drink.

ENERGY REFLECTION

“Steady on the flats. A little tired on the last hill. Next time, I’ll note dinner too.”

SAMPLE COMMUNITY DISCUSSION · 3 replies to “What goes in your homemade mix?”

Product concept · Illustrative data

01 / THE BIGGER PICTURE

Your training and nutrition belong in the same conversation.

Planning meals in one place, recording workouts in another, checking ketones, then trying to remember how a session felt. The pieces are personal. The process can feel fragmented.

01 / How should I fuel this session?

02 / What can I learn from how I felt?

03 / Who else is exploring the same approach?

02 / PROPOSED EXPERIENCE

A clearer picture, one session at a time.

01 / Plan your fueling

Bring your training plans and nutrition intentions into one place.

02 / Reflect on your response

Record food, activity, optional ketone readings, and how you felt to explore patterns over time.

03 / Learn together

Exchange recipes, questions, and experiences with athletes who share your priorities.

03 / INSIDE THE CONCEPT

Built around the way you train—and the way you eat.

An early look at what we’re exploring. All screens, discussions, and entries below are illustrative—not a live product.

A session is more than a workout.

Keep your intentions, food notes, and lived experience side by side. No automatic prescriptions. Just a better place to notice and reflect.

SESSION / DEMONSTRATION

Sunday · 60-minute easy run

PLANNED FUEL

Homemade drink; bring a snack as an option

RECORDED FOOD

Yogurt, walnuts, and berries before heading out

POST-SESSION REFLECTION

Comfortable pace. Hungry afterward. Note sleep next time.

SAMPLE FEED / FICTIONAL DISCUSSIONS

RECIPE EXCHANGE / A less-sweet homemade drink?

TRAINING REFLECTION / What I noticed on an easy long run

OPEN QUESTION / How do you plan food around evening runs?

Less noise. More shared curiosity.

A place for recipe ideas, honest training reflections, and questions without a perfect answer. Sample discussions represent possibilities, not real members or testimonials.

04 / A COMMUNITY IN THE MAKING

Your next experiment doesn’t have to be a solo effort.

Starting locally, learning together. We’re planning a welcoming space for everyday athletes—not a competition to eat less or chase a higher ketone reading.

Local runs and member meetups · Homemade fuel and recipe exchanges · Training reflections and practical discussions · Participation and consistency challenges

Celebrate showing up, learning something, and helping someone else.

05 / OUR APPROACH

Curious by nature. Careful with the evidence.

We intend to distinguish research, qualified expert guidance, and personal experience clearly. We’ll seek nutrition and sports-science input, explain what measurements can and cannot tell you, and treat health and performance as broader than a ketone reading.

Planned education includes ketosis and autophagy: different topics with important limits. Ketone measurements do not measure autophagy.

Educational information supports informed choices and does not replace individualized medical advice.

06 / A PERSONAL STARTING POINT

Built from personal questions. Driven by a healthier community.

Fuel Theory Labs began with my own questions about keto, training, and making food and fuel from scratch. My grandfathers’ health experiences made the mission personal: I want to help my community build healthier habits today and for the years ahead.

I’m developing the venture in my LLMs for Start Ups class, with an investor pitch planned for the end of the semester. My first step is to learn from athletes in my Austin running community and seek expert input to shape a useful, responsible service.
